Job summary

Virginia Paving Company is seeking a Systems Analyst II to provide Tier 2 network and cybersecurity support in the Chantilly, VA area. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and support switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and related services while assisting with incident response and remediation activities.

The role requires at least 5 years of technical experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years supporting network infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network connectivity and security tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/cybersecurity.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for network, infrastructure, and security incidents.
• Monitor and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs.
• Support endpoint security, vulnerability management, and access controls.
• Investigate security alerts, document findings, escalate as needed.
• Participate in projects implementing network and security tech.
• Coordinate upgrades with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and security procedures.
• Test changes and patches; validate new functionality.
