Job summary

Northern Base is seeking a Network Engineer to monitor and optimize performance across Retail, Datacenter, and hybrid environments. You will troubleshoot L2/L3 incidents, manage tickets, and ensure SLAs are met with a focus on reliability and security.

You'll work with core networking, firewall, cloud networking, SD-WAN, and monitoring tools, supporting on-call rotations and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain resilient network operations.

Qualifications

• Must have strong foundation in core networking concepts and hands-on experience with enterprise networks.
• Experience administering Cisco and Juniper devices in complex environments.
• Knowledge of firewall security practices and policy management.
• Experience with wireless networking deployments and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Understanding of SD-WAN technologies and modern networking patterns.
• Proficient in network monitoring, incident response, and operations workflows.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability for Retail, Firewall and Datacenter environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L2/L3 network incidents.
• Handle tickets and service requests within defined SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 engineers when required.
• Participate in on-call and major incident support activities
• Support hybrid network environments.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity between cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Support data center network operations and maintenance
