Job summary

Orion Advisor Solutions seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure our corporate networking across on-prem and cloud environments. You will mentor staff, manage LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, and ensure ISO 27001 alignment while delivering reliable connectivity.

The role emphasizes hands-on Palo Alto firewall operations and Aruba fabric management, with hybrid work and on-site three days weekly at appropriate offices. A strong routing/switching background is required.

Qualifications

Must have a college degree in MIS, CS, Network Tech, or related field.
Aruba and Palo Alto certifications preferred.
Minimum 7 years of direct network engineering and firewall experience.
Hands-on Palo Alto firewall experience.
Cloud networking experience (AWS/Azure).
Strong routing and switching knowledge.

Responsibilities

Mentor network admins and lead design/maintenance of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN infrastructure.
Plan, evaluate, and implement on-prem and cloud networking (AWS/Azure).
Coordinate with professional services for projects and advanced config changes.
Troubleshoot network issues with site contacts, vendors, and leadership teams.
Monitor core networks, detect problems, and ensure uptime.
Maintain public internet connections and related security.
Operate and troubleshoot DNS/DHCP/IPAM with Infoblox.
Oversee SD-WAN and BGP for circuit issues until resolved.
Create network diagrams and documentation.
Support DR testing and 24/7 on-call coverage.
Stay current with critical updates for network equipment.
