Job summary

Confidential, a financial services firm on Long Island, seeks an IT infrastructure specialist to maintain and support the firm's IT systems onsite in Melville.

You will configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, SCVMM, Exchange 2019, SQL Server 2022, VMware ESXi/vCenter/vSAN, and Cisco Email Security Appliances, while coordinating with desktop support and ensuring high availability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory with Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
• Proficient with PowerShell scripting for automation and day-to-day ops.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, SCVMM, and virtualization management.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the firm’s IT infrastructure and provides desktop support team assistance as needed.
• Monitors system availability and performance to ensure high uptime.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Great opportunity to be on Long Island with a financial services firm. Maintains the firm’s IT infrastructure as described below and provides support to desktop support teams as needed.

Onsite - Role located in Melvile

Configures, installs, maintains and provides support for the below technologies:

• Microsoft Active Directory. Experience with Group Policy, DNS, Sites and Services, DHCP, Powershell
• Server hardware configurations (specifically Cisco C-Series)- Hyper-V, and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
• Exchange 2019 including DAG configurations
• Microsoft SQL 2022 including AG configurations
• VMWare ESXi, vCenter and vSAN configurations
• Cisco Email Security Appliances
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (IAAS and PAAS implementations)
• Knowledge of backup processes and disaster recovery. Experience with CommVault Commcell backup solutions
• Ability to proactively assess security updates across all products and implementations mentioned
• Monitors system availability and performance
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
