Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services seeks a Network Engineer in Las Vegas, NV to install, configure, and maintain the data center and lab networks. You will work with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless APs, configure VLANs, and optimize BGP/OSPF/IS-IS for internal paths and ISP connections.

You will monitor uptime, support upgrades, and ensure security standards while coordinating with BU teams and providing Tier-III user support. Salary ranges are provided in the posting.

Qualifications

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual networking equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Configure VLANs in Fabric networks and private switches as per BU requirements.
• Configure and optimize routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) for internet edge, multi-homed connections, and data center paths.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth functioning of day-to-day data center activities.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, racks, and cable infrastructure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data center systems to maximize uptime.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, decommissioning, and asset management.
• Follow safety, security, and operational protocols at all times.
• Maintain Lab and Datacenter network infrastructure and coordinate with BUs.
• Log rack elevations, serial numbers, port mappings, and hardware warranty statuses.
• Perform on-site physical interventions, visual hardware checks, link testing, and component replacements.
• Monitor firewall rules, manage VPNs, patch vulnerabilities, and enforce cybersecurity standards.
• Provide Tier-III user support and resolve connectivity issues.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Configure the VLAN's in the Fabric network and private switches as per BU requirement.
• Configure the new private switches based on BU plan and provide authentication to the user as per role activities.
• Configure and optimize BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF, and IS-IS to manage internet edge routing, multi-homed ISP connections, and internal data center paths.
• Working with project managers to support the Lab and Data center migration and upgrades.
• Involves in the network switch upgrades and do the patches as part of the compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve the network related issues at TOR and Fabric level network.
• Maintain the Lab and Datacenter network infrastructure and coordinate with BU's.
• Log rack elevations, serial numbers, port mapping, and hardware warranty statuses.
• Perform on-site physical interventions, visual hardware checks, link testing, and component replacements.
• Monitor firewall rules, manage VPNs, patch system vulnerabilities, and enforce cybersecurity standards.
• Resolve connectivity problems, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and provide tier-III Users support.
