Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Plano, TX seeks an experienced network engineer with 8–10 years of professional experience to design, implement, and support Cisco SDA/DNAC based LAN/WAN/WLAN solutions. The role emphasizes leadership, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to present concepts to management.

Candidates should have strong IP/VLSM knowledge, proficiency with Python and automation tools, and experience with monitoring/alerting platforms.

• Deep understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) addressing and Variable Length Subnet Mask (VLSM).
• Extensive experience on designing and implementing Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access), DNAC with Data Center Networking Technologies and Cloud Solutions.
• Strong experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools: Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, PagerDuty, Nagios, Thousand Eyes, CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix & Site24x7
• Deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies including; SDA, DNAC, ISE, VXLAN, ACI, fabric path, Spanning Tree, Virtual LAN (VLAN), and VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) concepts
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification
• Proficient with scripting technologies, including but not limited to Python, Ansible, Perl, and Terraform.
• Cisco ACI, SDA, DNAC & ISE.

Responsibilities

• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Needs to be confortable leading other Contingent Worker, Partners and site resources to the successful completion of network refreshes
• Plan, configure, implement and document solutions in a complex network environment in support of new and existing cloud technology architectures.
• Measurement, optimization, and tuning of network performance and ensuring that systems will run reliably and are highly available.
• Support a Cisco centric LAN, WAN and WLAN environment. This includes Switches routers, firewalls, security, wireless & ISE.
• Deep understanding of network orchestration and automation using Cisco ACI, SDA & DNAC with ISE integration, Phyton & Ansible.
• Build BOM, coordinate resources, track execution, and validate deployment/upgraded equipment/site.
• Work with various teams to gather requirements, create specifications, and design solution for network LAN projects.
• Supervise and or performing site installs, maintenance, upgrades or software enhancements to support the network infrastructure needs.
• Function as a point of escalation for operational entities regarding regular or complex issues.
• Monitor system for trouble areas and proactively resolve and document root cause.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
