Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a System Engineer to support our federal customer in Norfolk, VA, onsite. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and involves configuring and managing complex network environments across Cisco, Arista, Juniper, and other vendors.

You will develop automation using Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Ansible, manage NMS systems like NNMi and CloudVision, and support Linux and Kubernetes-based infrastructure to enable reliable, scalable network operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of network engineering experience with multivendor environments.
• Experience with firewalls and ACLs.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, YAML for network automation.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks for configuration management.
• NMS administration experience including Cisco Catalyst Center, NNMi, and CloudVision.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and support multivendor network environments across routing, switching, firewalls, ACLs, and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain network automation using Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Ansible.
• Administer and support enterprise Network Management Systems (NMS) including Cisco Catalyst Center, NNMi, and Arista CloudVision.
• Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Kubernetes-based infrastructure for modern network management.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability and performance.
• Continuous monitoring and proactive tuning of network nodes for peak performance.
