Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer – DevSecOps/SRE to support a federal customer in Norfolk, VA. The role emphasizes automation, resilience testing, and infrastructure as code within an SRE framework.

The position requires active DoD Secret clearance and is on-site, with responsibilities spanning AD/Azure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure automation to ensure high reliability and strong cyber hygiene.

Qualifications

DoD Secret clearance required.
BS degree with 7+ years of general experience and 2-4 years of relevant experience (or Master's with less).
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required.
On-site work in classified environments (SIPRNet).
Experience with CI/CD toolchains and SRE concepts.

Responsibilities

Test, patch, and upgrade AD, Azure, DNS, GPOs, PKI; manage infrastructure.
Collaborate with development/ops to ensure reliable deployments and improve platform reliability.
Develop automated testing frameworks for resilience and failure scenarios.
Automate releases, monitoring, and problem detection; support automation of enterprise network modernization.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC for cloud infra and apps.
Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting meet SLIs/SLOs.
