Job summary

Critical Solutions, LLC seeks a VPN/Firewall Systems Engineer to support a federal customer. You will design, implement, and maintain robust network security solutions, focusing on Juniper firewalls, DMZ, VPNs, and Cisco appliances to safeguard the intranet and mission-critical operations.

Applicants must hold an active DoD Secret clearance, a BS degree, 8–12 years of relevant experience, and DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CCNP Security, CISSP, or CASP+).

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance.
• Requires B.S. Degree and 8–12 years of related experience; degree may be substituted at Hiring Manager's discretion.
• Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III Certification (CCNP Security, CISSP, or CASP+).
• Active Associate level Network Vendor Certification (Cisco, Juniper, Palo, F5 Networks).
• Ability to work off-hours and be on-call for Incident Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide VPN, DMZ, and Firewall SME support for the Agency network.
• Collaborate with NOC, Admins, and Engineering to improve security appliances and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain SOPs/TTPS, perform system performance tuning, and plan upgrades.
• Lead incident response, change management, problem management, and O&M initiatives.
