Job summary

Critical Solutions is seeking a NetDevOps System Engineer (with active Secret) to support our federal customer in Norfolk, VA. The role emphasizes hands-on network engineering across multivendor environments, automation, and NMS administration.

You will develop network automation using Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Ansible, manage Red Hat and Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability. Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Functional understanding of multivendor routing and switching.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls and robust ACLs.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, YAML for automation.
• Proficiency in Ansible playbooks and IaC concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux and Kubernetes.
• Experience administering Network Management Systems (NMS).
• Strong analytical and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and support complex multivendor network environments.
• Develop and maintain network automation for configuration management and provisioning.
• Administer and support NMS such as Cisco Catalyst Center, NNMi, NA, and Arista CloudVision.
• Support Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Proactively tune network nodes for peak performance.
