Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and diagnostics on high-voltage power systems. You will lead testing, analysis, and reporting while mentoring junior techs and ensuring NFPA/OSHA safety compliance.

This role offers extensive travel (regional/national), a competitive hourly rate up to $95, and a robust benefits package including medical, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on HV testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
