Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. The role requires regional/national travel (up to 75%) and offers base compensation up to $110/hour with substantial OT, bonuses, and benefits.

You will lead testing activities, analyze results, author reports, and mentor junior technicians while adhering to safety standards and project schedules.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with protective relay schemes and testing equipment.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret and analyze test results; author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead multi-discipline project teams.
