Job summary

Vertiv, through its Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) and High Voltage Maintenance (HVM) divisions, is seeking a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing with NETA III/IV certification. The role involves testing up to 500kV, extensive travel (up to 75%), and leadership of field teams on critical power projects for data centers and utility networks.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III/IV Certification (current and in good standing)
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments
• Ability to read and interpret one-line and schematic diagrams
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based)
• Interpret test results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on project teams
