Job summary

Vertiv’s Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) and High Voltage Maintenance (HVM) division seeks an experienced Field Engineer - Electrical Testing. You will conduct acceptance and maintenance testing on high-voltage systems, travel regionally up to 75%, and lead testing projects with precision.

Required are NETA Level III/IV certifications and 7+ years in HV testing, with proficiency in major test equipment and relay schemes. Vertiv offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Current NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
Ability to read one-/three-line diagrams, schematics, P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash and power quality analysis.
Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
Interpret test results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
Troubleshoot complex electrical failures and mentor Level I/II technicians.
