Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Tech Lead to own the end-to-end technical solution for a cloud-native IoT platform in life sciences. You will guide architecture decisions and collaborate with architects and engineering teams across onsite and distributed groups.

The platform uses Azure AKS, Event Hubs, Service Bus, SQL, Dapper, Elasticsearch, Redis, Angular, and Terraform/Helm. You will drive event-driven microservices, security models, data residency, and refactor efforts while mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with strong .NET development expertise.
• Experience as Tech Lead, Solution Architect, or similar leadership role.
• Strong Azure cloud experience including AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL, Redis, Key Vault, API Management, Blob Storage.
• Proven design of event-driven microservices and distributed systems.
• SQL Server data modeling in multi-tenant SaaS environments; experience with Dapper.
• Angular/TypeScript knowledge; hands-on with Azure DevOps, Terraform, Helm.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and RBAC.
• Excellent communication and experience leading distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solution and drive architecture decisions.
• Lead discovery activities: architecture assessments, integration design, ERP REST API integrations, non-functional requirements.
• Design and evolve event-driven services focusing on messaging patterns, idempotency, ordering, replay, and consistency.
• Drive multi-tenant security, audit trails, data residency, and electronic signatures.
• Lead distributed teams through design reviews and engineering best practices, remaining hands-on in critical areas.
• Collaborate on CI/CD, environment management, framework upgrades, and release coordination.
• Define technical acceptance criteria for performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in architecture reviews, risk management, and planning; promote AI-assisted engineering.
