Job summary

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System seeks a physician to provide specialty medical care within the Medical Service, including outpatient and inpatient duties. The incumbent will teach trainees, participate in quality initiatives, and cover on-call rotations as needed.

Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) with competitive pay and federal benefits. Applicants must meet licensure, residency, and board eligibility requirements and maintain English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold U.S. citizenship or eligible per VA policy.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility
• Option for PRP status if applicable
• English proficiency (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within the physician's specialty in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Teach and supervise medical students, interns, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in process improvement/quality assurance and clinical service development.
• Provide on-call coverage as assigned, usually in rotation.
