Job summary

Annual Dialysis Conference in Orlando, FL seeks a board-certified nephrologist to deliver comprehensive care for inpatient and outpatient dialysis patients, participate in teaching residents and students, and coordinate with nurses, social workers, and case managers. The role follows a Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. schedule with a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases, and access to federal benefits including a pension and 401K.

Responsibilities

• Work up, diagnosis, and provision of non-surgical treatment including consultation for admitted patients and outpatients in nephrology.
• Attend inpatient consultations and schedule timely with complete assessment and care plan.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, peers, subspecialty providers, and leadership.
• Coordinate care for dialysis unit patients, outpatient clinics and inpatients with the utilization management team and case managers.
• Teach residents and students.

Duties

• Duties include but are not limited to: Work up - diagnosis - and provision of non-surgical treatment including consultation for both patients admitted patients and on an outpatient basis in need of care to treat general internal medicine and specialized problems related to the subspecialty of Nephrology
• Attend the Inpatient consultations as per assignment and schedule timely with complete consultation - assessment and comprehensive care plan
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and timely with the clinical nursing staff-peers-other Subspecialty providers and leadership
• Participate in care coordination for all patients in the dialysis unit- outpatient clinics - Inpatients with utilization management team and case managers and effectively work with social worker to address timely psychosocial issues
• Will be actively involved in teaching residents and students
