Job summary

VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System in Colorado is seeking an experienced physician (MD/DO) to join the Medical Service. The incumbent will provide medical care in outpatient and inpatient settings, and will participate in teaching and administrative activities as assigned.

The role includes continuing development of clinical programs, supervising trainees, and potential on-call duties. This position operates Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm with a comprehensive federal benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Preferred ABIM board certified / board eligible.
• Experience with General Nephrology, kidney transplantation, CRRT and ICU nephrology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care in outpatient clinics, labs, or inpatient services as assigned.
• Attend outpatient clinics, labs, or inpatient services as assigned and support clinical services needed by the service line.
• Supervise and teach medical students, interns, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in process improvement/quality assurance projects and other administrative duties.
