Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) at our Hartford, CT location. You will greet patients, register them, manage schedules, verify insurance, and assist with billing and deposits in a fast-paced physician-led environment.

Strong customer service, English communication skills and experience with EHR/Practice Management systems are essential. This role requires the ability to multi-task, support multiple departments and travel to satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
Heartsaver certification within 30 days of hire.
Experience with EHR/Practice Management systems and Windows-based computers.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors, patients and families professionally and direct them appropriately.
Maintain efficient patient flow during registration and provide excellent customer service.
Answer phones promptly, take accurate messages and route to the correct staff.
Process insurance verifications and update patient accounts.
Schedule appointments and manage reminders and waitlists.
Handle billing tasks, collect payments and reconcile daily receipts.
