Job summary

Columbia University’s Division of Nephrology seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join a busy faculty practice delivering patient-centered nephrology care. Independent, flexible, and collaborative, you will manage complex cases across inpatient and outpatient settings, including dialysis and renal biopsy clinics.

The role requires NY NP license, board certification, and strong communication skills, with responsibilities spanning assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• New York NP license (or proof of application).
• New York RN license.
• Board certification required.
• DEA, BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with MDs, other NPs, RNs and allied health personnel.
• Provides direction to allied health staff and performs comprehensive assessment.
• Orders, conducts and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Develops diagnostic impressions and treatment plans.
• Monitors therapies and prescriptions.
