Job summary

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Nephrology Division in an outpatient clinic setting in Minnesota. The role emphasizes collaboration with nephrologists and a team of advanced practice providers to deliver comprehensive kidney care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
• Current MN RN license with prescriptive authority or PA license with MN prescriptive authority.
• Eligible to be certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
• Able to meet credentialing and privileges requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient nephrology care at Fairview Fridley and Fairview Riverside clinics.
• Care for new and established patients with acute and chronic kidney conditions.
• Participate in periodic inpatient nephrology coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with academic nephrologists and APP team to deliver care.
• Use advanced practice skills with physician supervision to provide services.
• Assess, educate, and manage health care needs for adult patients.
