Job summary

Tetra Tech in Arlington, VA is seeking a NEPA Project Manager to oversee environmental analyses and deliver quality documents for DOE programs under NEPA. You will guide multidisciplinary teams from kickoff to final deliverables, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and serve as principal author for NEPA documentation.

Candidates bring a Bachelor’s in environmental/engineering field, 10+ years NEPA leadership, strong writing and communication skills, and ability to work with DOE/NNSA; security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related engineering discipline.
• Master's degree in relevant field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing NEPA projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget. DOE experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong experience with NEPA, including ability to manage projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface successfully with Clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Manage NEPA documentation, including EAs, EISs, and supporting technical studies.
• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage multi-disciplined NEPA projects with internal and external team members.
• Develop project schedules and labor plans.
• Work closely with DOE/NNSA to develop project alternatives.
• Review and interpret highly technical reports and summarize for a lay audience.
• Lead meetings as necessary with DOE/NNSA.
• Manage and develop technical staff.
• Contribute to business development activities with DOE/NNSA clients and proposals.
• Conduct research on federal environmental regulations and project requirements.
• Participate in quality reviews of technical documents and deliverables.
