Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead NEPA/ESA workflows, coordinate environmental assessments, and support documentation for regulatory consultations. Responsibilities include preparing permit applications and delivering client-facing materials with a focus on quality and timely completion.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of EPA/NEPA experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to develop new business through RFQs and proposals.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in environmental sciences, transportation planning, environmental planning, or similar; advanced degree a plus.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (NHPA, ESA, CWA 404, Rivers and Harbors Act 10).
• 10+ years preparing environmental assessments for regulatory audiences (e.g., CWA 404, ESA 10, NEPA).
• Exceptional technical writing skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
• TxDOT environmental pre-certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel; ArcGIS preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects including stakeholder and client engagement, budget and project plan tracking, ensuring quality of client deliverables, and routine reporting.
• Coordinate and prepare for meetings with clients, stakeholders, and regulators.
• Develop book of business by representing the firm, developing proposals, RFQ responses, and identifying growth areas for the Environmental Group.
• Utilize field research and available data to document conclusions concisely.
• Manage the preparation of documentation including permit applications, regulatory filings, and client-facing deliverables.
