The Department of Pediatrics at Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks a junior or mid-career Board Certified/Eligible Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center. This position requires strong clinical and teaching skills to attend in our high-acuity NICUs alongside a team of 40 neonatologists, 12 Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellows, and Pediatric Residents. Our multidisciplinary NICU team includes Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Neonatal Physician Assistants, NICU Nurses and Clinical Specialists, Lactation Specialists, Dieticians, Pharmacists, Therapists, Social Workers, Child Life Specialists, and Psychologists.
The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) opened in 1983 as the NY metropolitan area’s only hospital designed exclusively for children. It is now the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, treating over 230,000 children annually and serving 1.8 million children across Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. It offers comprehensive pediatric subspecialty support and is the only Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center on Long Island. The hospital has dedicated pediatric operating rooms, pharmacy, radiology, and inpatient/outpatient services. It has been recognized as one of “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” by US News & World Report for over 10 years.
