Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to render professional respiratory care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role covers NICU, delivery room and transport settings, with focus on assessments and care plans for neonates.

Ideal candidates will have a respiratory therapy degree and PA licensure; RRT is preferred. Two years of hospital-based pulmonary/respiratory experience is desirable, with ongoing involvement in education and department projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine preferred.
• RRT preferred; CRT and other certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room and transport setting.
• Performs ongoing respiratory assessments and plan of care development.
• Demonstrates leadership skills within the department.
• Participates in department projects, teamwork and continuing education.
