Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to render professional respiratory care for neonatal patients in the NICU, delivery room, and during transport. You will perform regular respiratory assessments, plan care, and contribute to department projects while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold PA licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (or TPP) and have 2+ years of hospital experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine; RRT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred.
• Two years’ hospital experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room and transport setting (40%).
• Performs ongoing respiratory assessments and plan of care development (30%).
• Demonstrates effective leadership skills (15%).
• Participates in department projects, teamwork and continuing education (15%).
