Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise nursing staff on shift, including weekends and holidays, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. The RN will use the nursing process for patient assessments, planning, and interventions and will collaborate with physicians and other clinicians.

Active RN licensure is required with BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC or other certifications may be required depending on the area.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Nursing required.
  • Active RN licensure required; BLS required.
  • Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned.
  • Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Utilize the nursing process in patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians in planning and implementation of patient care.
  • May have additional duties within scope of role.
