Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to support NICU and general patient care. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, and administer respiratory treatments under physician orders.

The role includes responding to high-risk deliveries and managing ventilatory support as needed. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in Respiratory Care, active RT license, BLS, and up to one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Science required.
• License and registration with Respiratory Therapist credentials required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition and develops/modifies respiratory care plans.
• Performs diagnostic tests to evaluate therapy responses and helps with procedures.
• Responds to emergencies including high-risk deliveries and trauma activations.
• Maintains artificial airways and assists with ventilation during transport.
• Completes documentation and coordinates patient teaching as needed.
