Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to assume primary responsibility for patient care, including examination, evaluation, and treatment planning under physician orders. You will manage artificial airways and mechanical respiratory support such as bubble CPAP, conventional ventilators, HFOV, and inhaled Nitric Oxide, and respond to high-risk deliveries with the Neonatal Resuscitation Team.

You will also run blood gases, administer respir.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Respiratory Therapist License, and Registration; BLS required.
• 0-1 years related work experience; rotation to off-shifts and on-call.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient condition and develops/ modifies respiratory care plan.
• Acts as Team Leader during shifts when management absent.
• Attends internal/external educational meetings to maintain competence.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and applies research findings.
• Develops and implements patient/family education plans.
