Job summary
Johns Hopkins Medicine's Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in the Pediatric Respiratory Care Department seeks an Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist. You will assess and treat cardiopulmonary conditions with advanced therapies, including ventilation management, in a collaborative, academic environment.
We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem roles with opportunities for growth, tuition assistance, and relocation support.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree program in Respiratory Care.
- Registration by NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Maryland State License required.
- BLS CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Apply specialized respiratory care knowledge to assess and recommend interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary issues.
- Administer therapies including medical gas, humidity, aerosol, hyperinflation, and bronchial hygiene therapies.
- Manage both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
- Provide emergency care and collaborate with healthcare teams to tailor multidisciplinary care plans.
- Work across NICU, PICU, pediatric cardiac ICU, transport, and ECMO.
