Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care for neonatal and pediatric patients across ICU and ED settings. You will work under supervision to deliver ventilator support, medications, and therapies while maintaining patient safety and family communication.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Must obtain NBRC-CRT credential within 45 days.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, ACCS, NRP may be required per department.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Operate ventilators and assist physicians with bedside procedures.
• Deliver prescribed medications and therapies per physician orders.
• Care for equipment, troubleshoot and arrange repairs as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapy purpose, technique and self-care.
• Collaborate with departments to optimize patient care and safety.
• Adhere to safety policies and age-specific care guidelines.
