Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, Utah is seeking a Nursery RN to deliver compassionate care in labor and newborn services. This position requires a current Utah RN license and an Associate’s degree; BLS and additional newborn certifications are expected within set timelines.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support families and ensure safety and quality in a rural community setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a current Utah RN license or Compact License with Utah endorsement.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and nourishment.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, and referrals.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
