Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, UT seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team. You will assess patients, plan and implement care, and collaborate with physicians to deliver high-quality perioperative services.

Ideal candidates hold an active Utah RN license, an Associate degree, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Certification readiness (ACLS/PALS) and BSN are preferred; one year of experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Current Utah RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BCLS certification within hospital orientation; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire or transfer date to position.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's condition and nursing care needs.
• Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Develops individual nursing care plans.
• Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed.
• Evaluates patient care outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees.
• Administers medications, treatments and therapies.
• Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care.
• Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition.
• Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: BCLS upon completion of hospital orientation; ACLS and PALS within six months of hire or transfer date to position.
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: Must have a current Utah RN license in the state of practice or Compact License with Utah endorsement.
• Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
