Job description

Seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time position at Southwest General. This position requires experience in knowledge, procedures, and independent practice. Neonatal APP experience required and minimum of 2 years experience in a level 3-4 NICU strongly preferred.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a Nurse Practitioner as specified by the Ohio State Nursing Board and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws

Education
  • Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
  • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
Experience Qualifications
  • 1+ years as a Physician Assistant Required
  • 1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner Required

Licenses and Certifications

Physician Assistant:

  • Physician Assistant (PA) (Required) and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
  • Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required) and
  • Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and
  • Maintain national PA Certification (Required)

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required) and
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required) and
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) and
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
  • Current APRN License (Required)
