Job summary

Ascension St Vincent's Rainbow Ashtabula Pediatrics team seeks an experienced FNP or PA to provide pediatric care. APP experience is required; pediatric medicine, PICU or NICU exposure preferred. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am–5 pm with rotating weekends.

The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver high-quality care, support patient access, and work within Ohio Board of Medicine/Nursing guidelines under UH bylaws. Training and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team are emphasized.

Qualifications

MSN in Nursing or PA education program completion.
Current RN/NP/PA licensure in Ohio.
1+ year experience as NP or PA.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessment and assign diagnoses based on data and current research.
Establish care plans and interventions per care paths and standards.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary team.
Educate patients, families, and staff; support professional development.
Demonstrate leadership and manage responsibilities.

Job description

Seeking an experienced FNP or PA to join the Rainbow Ashtabula Pediatrics team. APP experience required, Pediatric medicine, PICU or NICU experience preferred. The schedule is Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm rotating weekends.

A Brief Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Education Qualifications

(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing, or
Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program

Experience Qualifications

1+ years as a NP or PA required
