Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Per Diem for a new facility at Lake Mary Hospital in Central Florida. This role is essential for our Level II NICU, where you'll collaborate with a specialized team to deliver excellent neonatal care.

The ideal candidate will have current APRN certification, a master’s degree, and a Florida license. The position supports a dynamic and responsive schedule in a growing health system.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner – Per Diem (NNP) – Central Florida – US News & World Report Top Ranked Hospital System, at Lake Mary Hospital, newest addition to the Orlando Health family.

Key Facts

• Hospital opening early 2025; projected annual deliveries 1,000 with ADC 6-7 in newborn nursery.
• Level II NICU projected ADC 5-6 by year end, with 2,000 deliveries and 24/7 coverage.
• Team includes neonatologists, NNPs, and pediatric hospitalists. Neonatologist onsite 8 hours daily, will take call from home, must be in a 30‑minute on‑call response radius.
• NNP schedule of 12‑ and 24‑hour shifts.
• Supported by Orlando Health flagship NICU at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies (142‑bed, Level‑IV NICU).

Qualifications

• Current APRN national specialty certification.
• Minimum of a master’s degree.
• Florida license required.
• Certified NNP with recent experience required.
