Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of daily unit functions and staffing. Responsibilities include monitoring nursing care in line with policies, evaluating outcomes, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. You will operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes, ensure compliance with standards, and support clinical and operational excellence.

  • Support efforts to reduce practice variation and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
  • Achieve internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance per standards.
  • Manage admissions and discharges for efficiency and quality.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and assign staff with appropriate competencies.
  • Lead efforts to provide an exceptional patient experience and differentiate the organization.
  • Review feedback to identify improvement opportunities in patient satisfaction and service.
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices enhancing patient experience.
  • Collaborate with leaders to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
  • Identify training and development needs for staff and teams.
Qualifications:
  • BSN
  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Specialty certification within 6 months of hire
  • Current RN license in Texas or valid compact license; if applicable, apply for Texas license within 60 days or obtain within 6 months.
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS preferred
  • NRP, FHM, RNC-OB preferred for L&D specialty
