Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry RN for the Day Shift in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Olympia Fields, IL. You will deliver direct patient care for neonates, following the nursing process from stabilization through discharge.

Applicants must hold a current state RN license with BLS and NRP certifications; NICU/acute care experience is preferred, and a BSN is desirable.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provide for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• NICU direct patient care within the scope of practice for neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
