Job summary

Olympia Fields Hospital in Olympia Fields, IL, seeks a Temporary Internal Registry RN for Day Shift in the ICU. This 12-week assignment offers a $60.00 per hour flat rate and the opportunity to provide direct patient care using the nursing process.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, coordinate with physicians, monitor hemodynamics, and educate patients and families while upholding privacy and professional standards in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification current or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Arrhythmia interpretation experience or training within 30 days of hire.
• One year minimum as staff RN in acute care hospital; ICU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate with physicians about changes in patient condition and review diagnostic results.
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Provide patient/family teaching and guidance to nursing staff while maintaining privacy.
