Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin in East Texas seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, perform assessments, and coordinate care within an interdisciplinary team.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced hospital environment. An ADN with RN licensure in TX is required; CPR and NRP certification are expected within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and at least one year RN experience.
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license for TX at hire.
• CPR within 14 days and NRP within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and ongoing assessment of patient’s condition and nursing care.
• Planning, directing and documenting the plan of care and discharge needs.
• Implementation: prepare patients for treatments and report changes; follow safety protocols.
• Evaluation: reassess patients and modify care as needed.
• Report Skills: provide bedside shift reports for continuity of care.
• Environment & Patient Safety: maintain safe patient environment and address hazards.
