Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is seeking an exceptional Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care, perform assessments, and execute comprehensive care plans. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a high-quality hospital setting located in Lufkin, TX.

The role requires an Associate of Science in Nursing, at least one year of RN experience, and current TX RN license, with CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications pursued within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science in Nursing required upon hire.
• At least one year of RN experience.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) within 14 days; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months; Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months; Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on admission and ongoing assessments; meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
• Plan, direct, evaluate and document the care plan and transitions of care with daily goals.
• Prepare patients for treatments and notify physicians of significant changes; apply safety protocols.
• Reassess patients after interventions and adjust care as needs evolve.
• Provide bedside shift reports to ensure continuity of care.
