Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse to care for critically ill and premature newborns. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for neonates requiring intensive monitoring and life support.

The role emphasizes collaboration with neonatologists and therapists, educating families, and maintaining exceptional documentation and infection control. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are included.

Qualifications

Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.
Active RN license in good standing with the state board.
2–3 years of NICU nursing experience.
BLS certification within orientation and recertification as required.

Responsibilities

Provide advanced nursing assessments and continuous monitoring for critically ill and premature neonates.
Develop and manage individualized care plans for neonatal conditions.
Collaborate with neonatologists, therapists, and staff to coordinate holistic care.
Educate and support families on infant care, equipment use, and bonding.
Maintain readiness for neonatal emergencies and document per protocol.
Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
