Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in the hospital after birth, on-site at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. The role includes on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens in the hospital and educate parents on the relevance of hearing screens and early intervention.
• Comply with all company and facility policies and procedures including PPE, vaccinations, and compliance modules; raise questions to HS Manager as appropriate.
• Evaluate each patient for screen readiness before performing a screen.
• Collect data/demographics for each baby; perform the hearing screen and related services; ensure documentation is followed.
• Provide care and education to families during screening.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of each shift; reconcile stats as instructed.
