Job summary

Affinity Executive Search is seeking a NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Houston, TX to deliver expert medication management for critically ill neonates. You will work closely with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes through clinical support and direct patient care.

The role includes mentoring students and residents, participating in research, and contributing to cost containment in clinical pharmacy services.

Qualifications

PharmD with PGY2 in Pediatrics or Critical Care with NICU experience.
Licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas.
Proven NICU clinical pharmacy experience.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with pharmacy and hospital computer systems.

Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to neonates in the NICU.
Develop and maintain communication systems for effective information flow among staff.
Mentor and educate pharmacy students, staff, and residents.
Identify opportunities for cost containment and improvements in clinical pharmacy services.
Plan and manage resources to ensure continuity of care across various settings.
Participate in clinical research to evaluate drug and regimen outcomes.
Develop and implement utilization reviews and medication use assessments.
Oversee the clinical students and residency program to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
Ensure safety and adherence to all policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of service.
