Job summary

National Coalition of Healthcare Recruiters in Houston, TX seeks a NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to deliver expert medication management for critically ill neonates and collaborate with the care team.

You will mentor pharmacy students and staff, participate in research and utilization reviews, and help ensure safety and policy adherence across care settings, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

PharmD degree with PGY2 residency in Pediatrics or Critical Care and NICU experience.
Texas license to practice pharmacy.
Proven NICU clinical pharmacy experience.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with pharmacy and hospital computer systems.

Responsibilities

Provide direct clinical pharmacy services to neonates in the NICU.
Develop and maintain communication systems to ensure effective information flow among staff.
Mentor and educate pharmacy students, staff and residents.
Identify opportunities for cost containment and improvements in clinical pharmacy services.
Plan and manage resources to ensure continuity of care across settings.
Participate in clinical research to evaluate drug and regimen outcomes.
Develop and implement utilization reviews and medication use assessments.
Oversee clinical students and residency program to ensure high-quality educational experiences.
Ensure safety and adherence to policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of service.
