Job summary

The Healthy Neighborhoods Specialist at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society will work closely with the Director of Special Initiatives to execute the Citywide Curbside Appeal Program across 10 Philadelphia blocks. You will engage residents, coordinate with contractors, track progress in Monday.com, and help organize community events while ensuring installations meet quality standards and timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with Community Engagement and/or working with Philadelphia block captains.
• Clean Driving Record and Driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication across platforms.
• Ability to work outdoors and on weekends/ evenings when needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communications with block captains and residents on 10 blocks.
• Manage a shared email inbox for resident inquiries.
• Visit blocks during and after installations to ensure quality.
• Organize annual neighborhood events and 'Spring Refresh' activities.
• Use Monday.com to track project status and generate reports.
• Support assessments, create work scopes, and assign contractors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
• Document action items, identify risks, and monitor progress.
