Job summary

The Health Federation of Philadelphia is hiring a Community Remediation Specialist to support environmental cleanup and harm reduction initiatives in Philadelphia. You will work outdoors in varied weather, collect materials safely, and connect residents to social and medical services, while promoting dignity and wellness in affected communities.

Responsibilities include environmental response, community engagement, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; or an Associate’s degree with two+ years related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Response & Biohazard Mitigation: collect discarded equipment and follow biosafety protocols.
• Community Engagement & Harm Reduction: interact respectfully and provide harm reduction education.
• Safety & Compliance: follow needle-stick prevention protocols and participate in safety trainings.
