Job summary

Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy seek a Systems Engineer in Orlando, FL to provide technical input to support active proposals and negotiations through scope and risk definition. This role is part of our Gas Services team focused on decarbonization and innovative energy solutions.

You will run detailed performance models and tests on LGT units, coordinating scope with multiple organizations, with travel of 15% domestic and 10% international.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 2 years experience; or Master’s with zero experience.
• Experience or coursework in LGT thermal performance evaluations or LGT thermodynamics; heat balance analysis.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, aerodynamics, and fluid mechanics; ability to analyze complex gas turbine data.

Responsibilities

• Run detailed performance models to evaluate impact of potential upgrades on LGTs.
• Execute performance testing on LGT units; coordinate scope with multiple organizations.
• Travel approximately 15% domestically and 10% internationally.
