Job summary

Siemens Energy in Orlando seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to design, specify, and implement electrical equipment for power plant projects. You will work in an international, interdisciplinary team to deliver customer-focused solutions and support bid management and supply chain activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, strong standards knowledge, and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or higher with 5+ years in power plant electrical technologies.
• Experience designing and specifying power control centers or electrical houses, MCCs, batteries, and battery chargers.
• Experience creating documentation such as GA drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and load lists.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, VDE, EN standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high quality and timelines.
• Fluent in English; willing to travel internationally up to 10%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of electrical concepts and system designs for reference power plants and project specifications.
• Design and specification of electrical components for Power Control Centers and related equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to provide on-time, quality hardware and software to customers.
• Create, review, release and maintain technical design tools and documentation.
• Support bid management with cost calculations and technical input.
• Assist supply chain with supplier development and qualification activities.
• Contribute to cost value analyses and design-to-cost measures.
• Help develop and improve global engineering processes and tools.
