Job summary

Belcan is seeking an experienced NDT Inspector to support the Exotic customer site. The role focuses on processing complex parts, interpreting findings, and developing inspection techniques across FPI, radiographic and digital X-ray methods.

Responsibilities include auditing procedures, ensuring customer requirements are met, documenting findings, and interfacing with Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, and Manufacturing teams. Safety and accuracy are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Certified in FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray Inspection.
• Able to read manufacturing planning, blueprints and sketches; basic GD&T knowledge.
• Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process complex parts and interpret findings per Exotic and customer specs.
• Follow NDT technique sheets; ensure revisions meet requirements.
• Create, evaluate and approve technique sheets for FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray inspection.
• Detect faulty processes and provide corrective actions.
• Evaluate NDT methods for productivity improvements.
• Audit performance of personnel performing NDT techniques.
• Document inspection findings accurately.
• Check dimensions with calipers, micrometers and other devices.
• Document manufacturing planning and timecard data correctly.
• Interpret and follow drawings and instructions.
• Operate safely according to procedures.
• Program Digital X-Ray systems.
• Audit NDT procedures and interface with customers for evidence.
